Feeling Locked In
Starting to hit my early-season stride
I’m a few weeks into busy season and I’ve shaken out the cobwebs and I’m not yet exhausted or overwhelmed. Assignments are being delivered early or on time and I’m balancing shooting with admin work and meetings. Talk to me in a month and a half and I’ll probably be in much rougher shape. I’ll be fine, I intentionally scheduled this season better than last season. I only have a few double-header wedding weekends. I will never again do 4 in a row and I’ll certainly try not to do 3 in a row. I get a sick joy out of seeing other wedding vendors faces when I tell them about my 4 in a row weekend last year. Shock and disgust.
Anywhoo, I had two proposals and a wedding this week. First proposal was cute. It was a young couple and the bride-to-be was literally jumping up and down when it happened.
The second proposal was chill but took a little more coordinating and spy work to be in the right spot at the right time. It turned out fine and there were some bystanders, one of which shouted “Say yes, GIRL.”
The wedding was at Tarry A While Resort in Bridgeton, Maine. The vibes were good, everything ran smoothly. My only complaint is that the couple didn’t bring their beautiful dog who I got to meet at their engagement session. The band was really good, you should check them OUT HERE.
This coming week I have a wedding at The Seacoast Science Center, which I’m very excited for, and a unique WEDNESDAY wedding in Belfast.
See you on the other side.

Cute couples! I love the bride’s pearl over-jacket. But the bride’s attendants are dressed like old Soviet USSR uniforms! ☺️
